Kolonna Hotel Riga was the first hotel in Kolonna Hotels Group and it was opened on June 2nd 2005. This six-storey hotel, Kolonna Hotel Riga, is set in a renovated 18th-century building, with period features, in Riga’s old town. Originally, German merchants constructed these buildings as homes close to the Dom Square. Over the years, many reconstructions were performed and the style of the houses changed significantly. In June 2005, this particular building was reopened as a hotel.
A style of houses was changed significant; instead of renaissance elements of facade got more classicism features. 2004 Kolonna Ltd. purchased buildings on Tirgoņu Street 9. During reconstruction a central facade got her former outlook, but inside was completely adapted to a hotel. |

200 metres from the Dome Church and 500 metres from Daugava River.

Getting around: The city centre and old town can be comfortably explored on foot. Riga is well served by an efficient public transport system of trams, buses and trolleybuses; some routes also offer night services. Each mode of transport requires a separate ticket; these can be purchased from the onboard conductor. Train services to destinations throughout the country run from the central train station. |
