The Parador is in the historic centre of Vilalba, next to the church of Santa María. Vilalba is to the North of Lugo, 35 km. away by the N-VI road from Madrid to A Coruña.
There are several interesting places in the Galicia region within a hours car drive from Villalba to to visit. Santiago de Compostela used to be the third most visited place of pilgrimage during the first one thousand years following the birth of Christ. The cathedral contains the tomb of the apostle St. James. |
