Renovated in 2008, this hotel symbolises the uniting of the various cultures, histories and nations of Northeast Thailand. Guests should note that it is illegal for them to cross the border to Laos via the Mekong River which lies in front of the resort as it is not the official border, however others may try to convince guests otherwise. It is strongly recommended not to do so. If guests would like to visit Laos, they should go to the border at Chong Mek, where there is an official immigration checkpoint.
